Sainsbury's – Gravy Song

It was a pleasure to be asked to work on the music for the Sainsbury's Christmas adverts in 2020. The films captured the feel of family-shot footage and I wanted the music to reflect that, building it up as the memory became stronger throughout. It was a lot of fun revisiting the sounds of VHS recorders and playing around with different distortions to capture the feel of dusty old tapes.

It received a 4-star review on DAVID reviews and caused outrage among racists.
